Summary:
‘Mowgli
and the Bandar-Log’ is a picture story based on an extract from The Jungle Book
written by Rudyard Kipling. The story revolves around Mowgli and his friends,
Baloo and Bagheera. Mowgli is a seven-year-old boy raised in the jungle by a
family of wolves. Bagheera and Baloo are his teachers and best friends. Baloo
teaches him the laws of the jungle and keeps him safe from danger. One day, the
Bandar-Log take Mowgli away. The Bandar-Log are disliked by the Jungle People
as they do not follow any laws. Baloo and Bagheera, true friends of Mowgli,
begin looking for him. Rann, the kite, inform them that the Bandar-Log have taken
Mowgli to the Monkey City called the Cold Lairs. Baloo and Bagheera decide to
follow them to the Cold Lairs and rescue him from the clutches of the
Bandar-Log.
